Application:

• This Law regulates legal relations involving protection and processing of personal data and aim to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons, particularly the right to privacy in relation to the processing of personal data.
• This Law applies to personal data processing activities performed, fully or partially, with the use of automated means, as well as processing of personal data stored in a file folder,or assigned to be included in it, with the use of non-automated means.
• This Law applies to data processing activities performed by a natural person solely for personal or domestic needs.
• The provisions of this Law does not apply to data processing activities performed by a creative or literature professional, particularly a journalist, for professional purposes provided that an appropriate balance is ensured between the right to privacy and the right to freedom of expression.”
