NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators v4

The NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators v4 is Australia's quality and compliance framework for registered NDIS providers, defining the standards and quality indicators required to deliver safe, person-centred, and high-quality disability supports and services.

Overview

The NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators v4 is the quality assurance framework developed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission to establish the standards that registered NDIS providers must meet when delivering supports and services to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants. The framework is designed to ensure that participants receive safe, high-quality, person-centred supports that respect their rights, dignity, independence, and individual goals. The standards are structured into a Core Module covering participant rights and responsibilities, governance and operational management, provision of supports, and support environments, together with a range of Supplementary Modules for specific support types, including high intensity daily personal activities, specialist behaviour support, specialist disability accommodation, supported independent living, support coordination, and early childhood supports. Quality Indicators are used by auditors to assess provider compliance and demonstrate that appropriate systems, processes, and safeguards are in place to support participant wellbeing, safety, and service quality.
